World Backup Day
World Backup Day is annually on March 31.
On this day, campaigns and initiatives are promoted to highlight the importance of backing up data of the various devices that are part of our everyday lives.
Backup consists of copying files stored on electronic devices, such as computers, mobile phones, and tablets. These files can be documents, photos and videos, access data, emails, among others.
There are several ways to back up. You can simply transfer your files to a pen drive or an external disk, but this is a manual process and often requires individual management of the files you prefer to keep or delete.
The most practical and safe way to backup is by using the Cloud. The Cloud has made life easier for internet users because data storage is done in services that can be accessed from anywhere in the world, at any time, and there is no need to store data.
The allusion to "cloud" is due to the fact that access to programs, services and files is remote. One of the most used services is Google Drive, a storage and file synchronization service developed by Google. Released on April 24, 2012, Google Drive allows users to store files on their servers, synchronize files on devices, and share files.
