The next Web Summit will happen in Lisbon and Luís Figo is one of the speakers
The Web Summit is a global conference of technology and innovation that takes place every year and brings together thousands of participants, between companies and investors.
Like the previous edition, the Web Summit 2017 will happen in November in Lisbon and the first 200 speakers have already been announced. The more than 1,000 speakers chosen to speak at the 18 stages assembled belong to the most diverse sectors, from sports, politics and tourism and will demonstrate how technology is relevant to these areas.
One of the names already released for the sport area is former footballer Luís Figo, who is linked to the mobile application Dream Football, which allows young people with the dream of being professional players to share videos to play. The app acts as a portfolio and is aimed at both amateur footballers and talent scouts.
Luís Figo is not the only Portuguese speaker: João Barros, CEO of Veniam, will talk about the technology used in autonomous cars, and Durão Barroso will talk about technology applied to the financial sector.
The Web Summit is increasingly a world reference for those who work or have ambitions to work with technology and innovation and year after year has a greater offer. Lisbon will host the event until 2018.
